resurrection sunday of the undying - ( regeneration 7 )

Location: Student Council

Keito: Hmm... a proposal to have a joint performance with both 2wink and UNDEAD titled "Resurrection Sunday", huh.

I see. Now's the time for our seasonal events like Easter... and this Resurrection Sunday, I suppose.

An event to pull off the revival of 2wink after being punished for their mistakes during the DDD live, then.

Rei: The meaning behind the naming will be explained during the event.

Though we resumed our performances following that S1 event from the other day, after lying low for so long, news of UNDEAD's official revival will also start spreading like wildfire.

We'll give a dynamic performance, singing loudly of our revival in many ways. It'll be a brilliant festival.

This is all something I just came up with, so the details are still a bit vague...

After discussing the matter with the young lady, I think it'll be fine if we develop it from here on.

Keito: This proposal already has more than enough of what's necessary for its execution. An eye-opening amount, actually...

It's good to see everyone so active and spirited, but the projects being produced lately feel so crudely made.

There're so many that make me want to blurt out, "think this over a little more", so this proposal looks especially solid.

That's not to say I'm not going to give this a thorough once-over and point out any flaws, however.

Though as it stands it doesn't seem like your proposal poses any serious problems.

Rei: Oh? Then it's been approved? Thank you kindly, Hasumi-kun. ♪

Keito: You don't need to sound so fake when thanking me. I merely accepted something I thought was presentable.

Rei: And that's only fair. Though I was a little nervous since it's been quite a while since I've done this...

Ah, actually, have I ever created my own proposal before?

Keito: Not that I can remember. Everything generally went as you wished.

Everyone let you do as you pleased. Investigating your actions was just a waste of time.

In the past, at least. It won't be so simple with me here.

Rei: As it should be. It'd be far too dull if things were easy. ♪

Keito: That much about you hasn't changed... Anyhow, there's one majorly worrisome thing about this proposal.

The theme of Resurrection Sunday... or Easter, in other words.

You'd be subjected to the seasonal theme, but the real issue lies in the fact that another unit performed in their project titled "Easter Night".

Holding a concert that utilizes the exact same theme in such a short span of time has guests shying away from the performance thinking to themselves, "this again?".

Still, Easter Night was originally an off-campus project...

The units from Yumenosaki Academy who performed in that event had the benefit of an advertisement campaign near campus backing them up.

You wouldn't know that looking from the outside, though. They'll simply think we're repeating the same song-and-dance.

Rei: I understand what you mean. Tsumu... Aoba-kun and Sakasaki-kun from Switch were at the center of the performance, yes?

They involved Valkyrie and even took on work lately that let them stand out more.

Keito:
Your hearing is as sharp as ever.

UNDEAD's managed to garner a lot of attention recently thanks to the incomprehensible popularity of yours and the S1 and DDD performances from a few days ago.

I don't want your submission of this proposal to end up with you overwriting Switch's impact. I'm sure that would torment you as well, Sakuma.

I think it'll be necessary to alter the concept to some extent.

Rei: Hmm. I'll think it over. It'd be a sad state of affairs if my adorable Sakasaki-kun came to hate me for interfering with his business...

After all, when our time as the Five Eccentrics came to a close, that child was carrying a great many burdens on his shoulders...

Adding anything would be cruel. I wouldn't mind if he resented me for everything even now, but...

I'd like to avoid trampling on his heart any further so that child can grow up in good health.

So let's make this project a distinguishable one.

We'll stray from the more modern Easter and incorporate a theme of Christianity from years past for our seasonal event, I think.

Due to various circumstances, my family will also be involved. An old-fashioned setting like this suits them well.

Keito: True... Easter was originally a festival to celebrate the spring harvest in ancient times.

You're going to use an old, forgotten festival as your theme, then.

Rei: Indeed. That's why, despite our recent revolution encouraging innovation, we'll have fun admiring the archaic instead of striving for the future.

I don't intend to end the performance solely glorifying the past, naturally.

I think we ought to follow in AKATSUKI's footsteps, consult the past, and make an attempt at fusing the old and new.

Keito: ... sweet talk will get you nowhere. But it certainly feels like the concept behind AKATSUKI lies in adapting the traditional arts into a more modern style.

Frankly speaking, I like it. It makes me want to support you.

Rei: The thought alone is encouraging. We could perform together with AKATSUKI if you'd like?

Keito: Hmph... we're experts in the field. You'd get devoured.

I'm afraid we don't have time for it, either.

Still, members of the Student Council have to formally supervise each DreamFes event. I'll at least collaborate with you in order to kick-start this project.

I have no personal feelings about being burned by you all...

And I'm not so narrow-minded as to hinder the aspiring idols of Yumenosaki Academy.

Rei: I'm glad to receive any advice you're willing to offer. The S1 originated from Trickstar and the DDD from Tenshouin-kun...

We'll be doing this ourselves for the first time in a long time.

I'm sure there are plenty of mistakes in my proposal. Take up a red pen and grade it as you like. If there are any errors, I need you to mark them clearly with an X so that we might identify the correct answer.

Keito: This time it's my turn to check your answers... very well. I won't hesitate to correct you.

As a member of Yumenosaki Academy's Student Council, I accept your proposal for the "Resurrection Sunday" concert. I look forward to seeing what this festival of yours has to offer.
