Cater: Maaan. Must be nice. I would’ve tried harder if I knew we could get some sweet gear.

Lilia: Kufufu. We’ve been a touch too laid back.

Kalim: Oh, looks like they finished changing!

Jade: Sorry to’ve kept you waiting. What do you think?

Cater: Ohh! Snazzy much?

Lilia: The look is chic and put together, and the vivid cyan of that sling bag is just adorable.

Jade: The cyan portion is made of a fluorescent material. Visibility in the mountains is crucial, you see.

Furthermore, this jacket is sturdy enough to withstand tearing from branches and foliage.

Lilia: Hm? How about that keychain attached to your bag? Is that part of the ensemble?

Jade: This is my personal effect. Isn’t it cute?

Ortho: Wow, Vil Schoenheit-san! You look great!

Vil: I first thought we'd just have a very functional, uninspired collection to pick from, but…

This coat I have as my outer-layer is so spacious. Even outdoors, my uncompromising silhouette prevails.

The playful assortment of colors inspires one to be in tune with their natural energy and feel at ease in nature.

Naturally, I didn't overlook practicality.

I won't have to worry about my bags or even the wind with this. There are many ways I can spend my time being active.

All in all, not that awful. It brings to mind Crewel-sensei’s taste in fashion.

Azul: Fufu… Putting on this has helped me realize that maybe camping isn't so horrible after all.

Idia: Someone’s got hype… Did you pick that out yourself?

Azul: Indeed. There was plenty to choose from, but I went with something that fit my image.

Idia: True… choosing a subdued, crafty color scheme is super typical of you, Azul-shi.

Azul: The colors are fine, but I'm particularly taken by the octopus logo on my chest.

The concept of putting a sea creature on land-based clothing is a brilliant one.

Idia: Doesn’t that concept only apply to you?! Are these seriously off-the-rack?

I mean, it does look good… Ughhh.

I would’ve given it my all if I knew we’d get fit with some gear! I SO would’ve!

Azul: I’m not sure you would’ve won even if you really tried.

Rook: Très bien! You're all so beautiful, like butterflies fluttering their wings as they dance about!

Cater: Huh? I don’t see Trey-kun anywhere. Maybe he’s still changing.

Rook: Ah, but the star always arrives late. Here he comes now.

Cater: Rook-kun and I are showering you with all this praise, and you still don’t trust us? Meanie.

Trey: It’s not that, it’s just… I can’t handle all that attention.

There's no getting around that when everyone else is dressed for gym, though.

Malleus: Why should that matter? Your knowledge and skills are what’s being recognized.

Vargas: Now… That’s enough of a breather.

Let me tell you about the challenges you’ll be facing. Listen up, everyone!!

To advance you’re gonna need one of these… —a Vargas Badge!

Call out to a nearby ghost when you complete a challenge. They’ll fork one over if you’ve met the qualifying conditions.

Tackle all of them over these three days to obtain seven badges in total.

A club that manages to snag them all will pass and receive their reward.

The ones who don’t, well… I’m sure you’re all aware.

Trey: They’ll be forced to transfer, huh.

Sounds like there won't be many, but we can't afford to let up until we know how challenging they are.

Vargas: … All right. Make sense so far?

Then I’m going to explain the three different challenges you’ll have to clear on day one.

First of all, “shelter”! Preparing a safe spot to stay at for the next three days.

Gather firewood from the woods around us and light a campfire.

Vil: First things first, then. We'll need a fire for more than simply eating and staying warm.

Azul: Starting a fire… I haven't done it much myself. It sounds like such a hassle without magic.

Vargas: Next is “food!” Get acquainted with Mt. Dwarf’s ecosystem and provide for yourselves.

Catch fish at the lake and cook it.

Kalim: Food preservation, huh… Sounds hard since I don’t really cook.

Lilia: Fish are not so easily caught, so we might as well make that our first priority.

Vargas: The third challenge is “study!” Deepen your understanding of what you’ve learned through some hands-on activities.

Head into the tunnels of the mountain and mine for magic gems.

Find one no heavier than three grams and no larger than a cubic centimeter.

Shards smaller than that also won’t be accepted!

Look at the map in your guidebook. There should be three areas outlined.

Deal with them however and with whomever you want.

I’ll be lending out pickaxes and fishing poles, so feel free to take them.

You’ve got until sunset to clear your first three challenges and claim their respective badges.

It’ll still be tough, even if our judges have room to be more forgiving this time.

Rook: I've had plenty of practice finding food and building fires so that can wait. Why not begin digging for our gem?

Trey: Not a bad idea. Better to complete the task we’re not familiar with first.

Trey: Hahah. It’s like you came here to sightsee.

Rook: And why shouldn’t he? Let’s take in the view as we galivant towards the mine.
