love comedy - ( epilogue 5 )

Location: StarFes Stage (Second Half - UNDEAD)

Koga: ... what the?! Heyheyhey?! Everything got all chaotic! What's goin' on here?

Tomoya: Ahahah. We were pretty shocked too when we heard everything from backstage.
 <
Hokuto-senpai... — everyone in Trickstar was so overenthusiastic in the first half that they wore themselves out.

When the staff called for us to take our turn, the four of them, including Anzu, had totally crashed.

They had totally satisfied looks on their faces, like they'd done everything they could.

Now they're rushing to get ready to wake them up, but it's not like they'll be able to take the stage any time soon, so...

We needed to do something to buy them some time until their arrival.

Koga: Aahn? You serious, Plain Face? That's just like them, though...

What was the point of winnin' the first half in such a gruesome way if they were basically gonna get the privilege of the finale performance anyway?

They shoulda just let the whole bein' representatives for the SS live thing go to their head and had a good laugh. Idiots will be idiots, though. They haven't changed one bit~. ♪

Nazuna: Hmm. But it was hard on them both mentally and physically this time. Just imagining what it must've been like is making me shudder.

But they were able to follow-through and defend their placement through their own efforts.

I think that's great. It's like Rei-chin said; it makes me wanna cheer them on.

Rei: Quite. Our actions are to return the favor for their moving the hand on Yumenosaki Academy's clock.

They can't win if they're alone, hence they aim for greater heights while everyone lifts them high.

In order to attest their way of doing things so that we might cooperate... tonight we'll come together as one and celebrate the start of their new journey with a sacred blessing.

Koga: Guess we ain't got a choice... They can't do a thing without us, anyway.

Whether they were reckless or caught up in the momentum or whatever, they still won a real hard fight.

We better cheer 'em on as much as we can, 'case if they end up lookin' miserable at the SS live it'll make us look bad. ♪

Nazuna: ... there's a good boy. ♪

Koga: Aahn? What'd you just say, Nito-senpaaaai...?!

Nazuna: Oh, nothing.

All right. Let's stick to it. ♪

Hajime: Right. We need to put our all into singing and creating an uplifting atmosphere...

So Trickstar can finish preparing to come back out on stage in the meantime, right?

Nazuna: Yeah. After Trickstar takes the center a ton of units will come out to sing and dance.

It's gonna be one crazy party~. That way we can forget all the trivial uneasy feelings.

Hajime: Yes. We want the audience to think that's exactly how the performance was supposed to be.

Everything would go to waste if there were trouble.

Nazuna: ... sorry. That's not what I meant. I was just thinking about how it really felt like my temporary return to Valkyrie was too little too late this time.

Mitsuru: Are you still talking about that... ?  We're on stage right now. We've gotta be smiling!

Rei: Indeed. Tenma-kun speaks the truth; love and laughter are an effective prescription for all ills.

Anyhow, StarFes was a strong contender for a send-off party originally. Leaving things unfinished here would mean we lack a finishing touch.

Hence I'd like it if this is where Trickstar were to rise like the messiah as soon as possible. ♪

Kaoru: Just because it's Christmas, though. ... let's make this difficult for Trickstar and get as fired up as we can so the audience won't take their eyes off us.

I want all the girls in the world to myself, after all — even if it'll totally just multiply all my problems in the future.

Sorry! This is just the kind of guy I am. I'm not gonna cut everyone off and start acting like an adult that fast!

Step right up. Let me show you how serious I can be. ♪

Hajime: Ah — that's spiteful. Don't do that; you need to be nice and cheer for Trickstar.

You're a good person, Hakaze-senpai. Others end up misunderstanding you because you behave like that.

Kaoru: Ahahah. Misunderstand me, huh. It's easier when people just think I'm a bad kid.

Hajime: ... I understand how that feels. But I'd like to be a good kid if possible since I really love everyone. I don't want to hurt the people I love.

Kaoru: I feel you — and you should stay that way. I'll listen to your complaints whenever it gets tough.

So just don't end up like me, Hajime-kun.

Hajime: Eh~? But I really admire you Hakaze-senpai. I'll be taking the good half of you with me at least... ♪

Nazuna: Hey. What're you having a secret chat about over there? Was the stuff in that article actually true, or... ?

Rei: Oh? I didn't consider this possibility. I told you not to overdo it with your frivolous ways Kaoru-kun, but... I didn't exactly tell you to approach men instead.

Kaoru: Okay. The senseless adults can be quiet now. ... though we didn't settle anything even with all this talking.

Sorry, Hajime-kun... we can take our time and talk after this over some tea. Right now, for as long as I can — I just want to sing for my loved ones.

Hajime: Right. Christmas will end before we know it if we take it easy here.

So let's sing, Senpai.

Kaoru: Yeah. Together. We'll offer up our love to good kids all over the world.
