camp vargas! ~spring happening~ 1-5 "vargas badge"

Location: Dwarfs’ Mine - Campsite
Vargas: To advance you’re gonna need one of these… —a Vargas Badge!
Call out to a nearby ghost when you complete a challenge. They’ll fork one over if you’ve met the qualifying conditions.
Tackle all of them over these three days to obtain seven badges in total.
A club that manages to snag them all will pass and receive their reward.
The ones who don’t, well… I’m sure you’re all aware.
Ruggie: They’ll have to disband, huh.
Leona: Hah. So all we’ve gotta do is ace them all.
Vargas: … All right. Make sense so far?
Then I’m going to explain the three different challenges you’ll have to clear on day one.
First of all, “shelter”! Preparing a safe spot to stay at for the next three days.
Gather firewood from the woods around us and light a campfire.
Ruggie: A camping essential. Animals will keep away s‘long as you’ve got fire.
Vargas: Next is “food!” Get acquainted with Mt. Dwarf’s ecosystem and provide for yourselves.
Catch fish at the lake and cook it.
Ace: Man, that reminds me; I haven’t had anything since breakfast…
Vargas: The third challenge is “study!” Deepen your understanding of what you’ve learned through some hands-on activities.
Head into the tunnels of the mountain and mine for magic gems.
Find one no heavier than three grams and no larger than a cubic centimeter.
Shards smaller than that also won’t be accepted!
Look at the map in your guidebook. There should be three areas outlined.
Deal with them however and with whomever you want.
I’ll be lending out pickaxes and fishing poles, so feel free to take them.
You’ve got until sunset to clear your first three challenges and claim their respective badges.
Now, let’s get started!!
Pans away.
Epel: We don’t have much time, do we?
Ruggie: Nope. Looking at this map, the locations are way spread out. It’s gonna be a race against time.
There’s a limited amount of equipment, too, which means our dilemma is deciding what to do first…
Leona: So do them all at once.
Ruggie: Wha?
Leona: The mines and the lake require the right gear, so send in as many of our group as there are pickaxes and fishing poles.
With the leftovers gathering firewood we can move on without anyone loafing around
Beats me what the other clubs are up to, but…
You know there’s no herbivores that won’t run with the herd in my Magift Club.
Everyone: … !
... Yeah! Without a doubt!
Leona: You're in charge of giving orders and coordinating everyone, Ruggie.
Ruggie: Roger that!
Leona: Epel. They said you’re good with your hands, right? Follow Ruggie around and help out where they’re struggling.
Epel: Got it!
Ruggie: Yo! Our Boss never ceases to amaze! … So. What’s the oh-so-important Leona-san gonna be up to?
Leona: I literally just worked my ass off. Let me take a nap.
Ruggie: Sure enough… all right. Let’s get going, Magift Club.
Everyone: Right!
Pans away.
Jamil: We’re finally getting started. Let’s talk about where we’re going first.
Floyd: Uhmmm… I’m hungry. So, the lake for now?
Ace: Oh, I’m hungry too. That’s got my vote!
Jamil: I’m fed up with Floyd always following his own rhythm, but… I’m all for going to the lake.
We should gather food while we still have energy.
Pans away.
Deuce: Gathering firewood, fishing, or mining for gems…
Jack: Some say fishing’s all about luck, so, might as well head for the lake first.
A small number of us can keep fishing after a couple of good catches, while the rest take on the other challenges.
Deuce: Sounds good. Let’s go suggest that to our seniors!
Pans away.
Riddle: If I were asked which of these three I’d prefer to put first… Personally, I would choose the mining tunnels.
Silver: I agree with Riddle.
It’s been a while since they closed the mines. I don’t think there’ll be many shards left.
Our priority should be whatever will take the longest.
Sebek: NO OBJECTIONS HERE!
Not that I made my decision based on Silver’s. I just thought exactly the same thing at first.
Silver: Impressive. Then we understand each other well.
Sebek: NO, WE DON’T!!
Pans away.
Grim: Awright! Let’s go explore the areas too!
