summer vacation - ( the barbaric and the elegant 3 )

Location: Tropical Sandy Beach

< Half a day later. >

Yuzuru: We’ve arrived, everyone. ♪

You must be tired after such a long flight. This is where we’ll be having our trip of four days and three nights.

Though I believe the details of such were in the pamphlet I distributed beforehand, I’ll explain things verbally as well…

This is an isolated island far, far away from Japan.

The entirety of this island is private property owned by the Tenshouin conglomerate.

You’ll be able to spend time in a tranquil environment without the hassle of other tourists.

And while there are a few staff members at our hotel, the entirety of the beach itself is reserved.

All the necessary equipment was brought in beforehand, naturally, so lessons can be held without any inconveniences.

It's only an hour's boat ride from here to the main island... I believe. The people that live on these islands stay there.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but if you'd like to do any leisure shopping, you will need to wait until we reach the main island. However, if there's anything you're in desperate need of, the hotel staff will gladly procure it for you.

If you need to contact someone, it should be possible to reach them from the main island.

I’ve been thorough with a variety of things in order to ensure that everyone has a pleasant time…

Please put aside your everyday worries and disputes as you enjoy this relaxing summer vacation to the fullest.

That is all. I was in a hurry to touch on the essential points… so please let me know if there’s anything you need clarification on.

Koga: ...

Tori: ...

Yuzuru: Young Master? Are you sleeping while someone’s having a serious discussion?

Tori: Fnnhh — don’t pull on my cheeks! And why am I the only one getting scolded when Oogami-senpai looks sleepy too?!

Yuzuru: Fufu. Since Young Master is important to me I’m absolutely forthright.

UNDEAD are our gracious guests, the ones I humbly offered an invitation to.

Since they won’t work if you’re excessively barbaric, I’ll coddle them… and this way, at least, I can ensure we have an elegant time.

Koga: Uuu…. my bad, Fushimi. Can y’just show us where the hotel is? Give us the rundown later.

We didn’t get any sleep with how hyped we were durin’ the flight.

The pipsqueak was so stoked for this pleasure trip that he brought cards. I ended up goin’ along with ‘em…

Eichi: Yes; we sons of distinguished families typically play “daifugou”. It’s usually so boring that it puts you to sleep, but…

We wised up and now we're really into it.

It was really fun, though… in “daifugou” you can play a very interesting move called revolution that reverses the ranking of cards.

A half-baked player wouldn’t find much of a difference in their immediate surroundings.

I think there’s room for discussion about how, despite reversing the ranking, the games rules itself don’t change in the least…

Fwaaah. ♪ Ah, I apologize for yawning.

Yuzuru: Honestly. Even you, President-sama… ? I told you over and over again to get as much sleep as possible during the flight, didn’t I?

If your internal clock doesn’t adjust quickly you’ll always be struggling with drowsiness and won’t be able to attend any lessons.

All the trouble I went through to provide the best environment possible would be a waste.

Eichi: Sorry, sorry. I’m still such a kid, letting myself get carried away like that…

On that note, Sakuma-kun’s truly accustomed to traveling overseas. You got plenty of sleep on the plane, didn’t you?

Rei: Indeed. Although it wasn’t that deep thanks to the noise.

Yuzuru: You seem unwell despite getting quite enough sleep, Sakuma-sama. Do you have motion sickness, perhaps… ?

Rei: Uu. I simply underestimated how painfully strong the sun would be… given that we’re closer to the Equator here. I have a feeling the UV rays are more powerful.

To make matters worse, thanks to the time difference, it’s morning whether I wake or sleep; a little something like hell for a vampire… — like, good lord? Are you trying to kill me here?

Kaoru: Here, Sakuma-san. An umbrella.

Rei: Thank you, Kaoru-kun.

Goodness. It won’t reduce the humidity any, but the heat lets up somewhat when you can block out the sunlight…

I thought myself aptly prepared, but perhaps going south to escape the heat wasn’t the best idea.

Yuzuru: Fufu. I am terribly sorry.

I was on the fence 'til the very end as to whether we should spend our time somewhere cool or at the beach. After examining all the various elements involved... I came to the conclusion that our vacation should be on an island of everlasting summer.

The waterside should be cool at least, and as I mentioned previously, there are no other tourists…

If the sweltering heat is too much for you, I wouldn’t mind if you were to spend the entire time in a swimsuit.

Rei: Nnnh. I’d rather not expose my skin so heedlessly.

Kaoru: Now you’re really acting old, Sakuma-san. Yo, Grandpa character~. ♪
