resurrection sunday of the undying - ( regeneration 8 )
Location: Student Council Room
Koga: .....
Souma: Oogami-dono.
Koga: ... hah? You got somethin' to say to me, bushido jerk?
Souma: Bushido jerk... ? I was pondering whether or not you'd drink what I pour.
Uninvited guest you may be, I would be ashamed as a warrior to not offer a cup of tea.
Koga: You don't make a bit of sense... but I'll take it.
'Preciate it. Kanzaki, right? You tryin' to be like a maid here or somethin'? 'cause you ain't half bad.
Souma: And will you always be following Sakuma-dono around like his own shadow?
It seems that gallant devotion of yours isn't bearing fruit — a fine job indeed.
Koga: .....
Souma: Excuse me. I overstepped.
Koga: It's fine. I opened my mouth first, so...
My bad for earlier. I interrupted your good time with Adonis and acted like I was gonna snatch him away.
Souma: I had something to ask in that regard (?). The tea was merely an excuse to start a conversation.
Adonisu-dono seems to be in low spirits lately... do you think he's worried about something in particular?
He's always been a kind, gentle soul, but recently it seems to me he's suppressing some sorrow. For whatever reason I can't bear the thought.
You're in "Andeddo", a comrade from the same "unitto".
Brothers who've endured the same hardships, in other words. Thus I thought you might be able to understand the workings of his heart better than I.
Koga: Hah. The guy may look huge and thickheaded, but he's actually pretty sensitive.
He's probably feelin' anxious about the fact that we opposed the Student Council back durin' that S1 and the DDD live performance.
Souma: ... while we were certainly taken by surprise at the time, it wasn't a choice that Adonisu-dono made.
By and large it's not unusual for us to have to face each other. There's nothing left worth having a grudge over.
Koga: Make sure to tell him that, then. He's the kinda idiot who won't get it unless ya tell him flat-out, bein' a member of UNDEAD and all...
If you ain't honest with him he's not gonna get it at all. Not that I care.
Souma: Hmm... I see. That sounds rational. Then I should head straight for the inner citadel as opposed to clearing the path of obstacles in an act of good faith.
Since I'm Adonisu-dono's friend, not his enemy.
Koga: There ya go. That blockhead was pretty lonely when he came to Japan and couldn't make any friends.
I'm real glad you two became close.
Never stop bein' his friend, you hear...
— what am I, his guardian or somethin'!? That ain't me at all. Just forget it.
Souma: Nay. Wolves truly are pack animals, aren't they?
... Oogami-dono. This may be off topic, but why did you come to the Student Council? Simply because you were "curious"?
You seem to be leaving the discussion of your plans entirely up to Sakuma-dono...
And while I can't speak for you, I also can't discern your motives when you're simply standing there without joining in.
Koga: It's... even now it's like a dream, the fact that that damn vampire's working together with UNDEAD again.
Like the second I turn away it's all gonna end up a lie an' everything'll vanish... a real convenient dream. It's pitiful, but it makes me anxious.
That asshole's the same as always; I never what he's tryin' to say.
But lately it feels like he's pretendin' to take stuff seriously, like there's another side to the picture, so I had my doubts.
It's been annoyin' me about him, but I can hardly even reach him with my fingertips...
So I thought he might say somethin' to that damn Four Eyes about his real motives.
Though from here it looks like they're just havin' a normal chat... not that I'd ever be able to see through 'em if they were really putttin' their heads together to hide something.
Souma: Hmm... it doesn't feel like there's more than meets the eye to this situation on my end. He's taking part in activities like normal as a member of "Andeddo".
You follow and trust him even when it's not in your nature to do so, correct?
Koga: Keh. Don't get me wrong. I'm not gonna sit when he says stay.
He's gotta be fed up with those idiots who fawn over him, just bowin' their heads all ready to do whatever he says.
I'm the only one who'll howl and bite and sink my claws into 'im.
Souma: Fufu. I'll never be able to tell whether you're playing the part of a savage dog that's been tamed or not. That's your talent, is it not?
Koga: Aahn? It ain't actin' or some kinda talent! I'm a proud lone wolf... !
Keito: You two. Getting along is fine, but we're in the middle of a conversation... if all you're going to do is make a racket with your frivolous chatter then leave.
Rei: It seems that our project will be approved with little difficulty, Puppy... could you inform the others standing by in the club room?
We're going to simplify things a little more.
Our Resurrection Sunday is on more equal terms with the the other DreamFes events than I anticipated, so it seems we may be holding it sooner than we expected.
We're lacking in preparation time, therefore we need to get started on practicing the basics.
Keito: Join UNDEAD's practice if you want to learn something, Kanzaki.
AKATSUKI's been an idle unit despite how busy we are. You'll lose your touch if all you do is push papers.
Koga: Aahn? You tryin' to chase us out so you can keep it confidential?
Keito: Quit presuming things. I'm saying that even if you stay here, you're wasting time being useless.
Youth is short-lived. Spend your time in a way where you won't regret even a single second of it.
Koga: Hah! That's some preeetty sanctimonious stuff comin' from some damn Four Eyes who went wasted it over and over again, huh?
Fine. Let's go, Zakki... apparently we're just eyesores!
Souma: Zakki... ?
You truly don't mind, Hasumi-dono? While we've certainly been lacking in practice, it seems wrong to go ahead on my own like this.
Keito: I don't. Go on. Spending all your time doing Student Council work is more of a problem. It'd sting to say this yourself, but aren't your priorities rather backwards?
Especially after Yumenosaki Academy finally became a place where idols could walk tall at the end of that long, painful battle.
All I want to say is you should make use of it.
Rei: Indeed. At the end of a detour lies a veritable paradise. You'd do well to have your fill.
